Alaska:  Julia Enzenberger reports Alaska's first Virginia State quarter, Denver Mint marked, received in change from the Great Harvest Bread Company in Anchorage, Alaska. (added Dec. 26)

Arizona:  Michael Francis found Arizona's first reported Virginia quarter, a Philadelphia strike, in change from Wal-Mart. (added Nov. 3)

Arkansas:  A hockey game concession stand in Texarkana, Ark., was the source of the Virginia D quarter Leland Shaver reports, a first for Arkansas. (added Nov. 6)

California: Jeff Miller reports California's first Virginia D sighting, in change from a Burger King in Pasadena. (added Oct. 26)

Colorado: Alan and Jodi Gabriel report Colorado's first Virginia quarter, from the Denver Mint, found in vending machine change. (added Nov. 2)

Connecticut: A Connecticut bank was the source of the VA-P quarters, which Adam Garstka is first to report from his state. (added Oct. 31)

Delaware: Ryan Galster of Delaware found his state's first VA-P at the grocery store. (added Oct. 27)

District of Columbia:  Charles Lovelace reports DC's first Virginia P, found in change. (added Nov. 1)

Florida:  John Jacobs found Florida's first reported Virginia P in change from a Burger King. (added Nov. 6)

Georgia: Chip Cutcliff of Georgia finally has beaten all the other Georgians with his reported find of VA-P quarters, a whole roll of them from the bank. (added Oct. 30)

Hawaii: Traci Lords has reported in with Hawaii's first Virginia quarter, struck at the Philadelphia Mint, found at the airport cafeteria. (added Oct. 30)

Idaho:  Yashar Seyedbagheri reports a Halloween find for Idaho, a Virginia D, from a Boise gas station. (added Nov. 1)

Illinois:  Paul Gunsallus got his state's first reported brand-new VA-P in change at the Cherryvale mall in Ill., "not a scratch on it." (added Oct 23)

Indiana: Fortunately for John Berkemeier, his sister works at a bank, the source of his first reported Virginia P quarters from Indiana.(added Oct. 27)

Iowa: Joel Olson got Iowa's first reported Virginia D's at his bank. (added Oct. 31)

Kansas:  Heidi Huenergardt is first to report a VA-D find for Kansas, bought at the bank. (added Nov. 7)

Kentucky:  Raymond Texas' daughter-in-law supplied him with Kentucky's first reported VA-P. (added Nov. 1)

Louisiana:  Todd Walker found La.'s first reported VA-D quarter in change while working in the concession stand at the Louisiana Tech vs. Central Florida football game. (added Nov. 6)

Maine:  Jack Bickford's friend Ernie picked up several rolls of Maine's first reported Virginia P, at the bank. (added Nov. 1)

Maryland:  Kimberly Hoxter found Maryland's first reported VA-P in her husband's change drawer. (added Oct 23)

Massachusetts:  Kevin Fox of Massachusetts reports getting his state's first Virginia quarter, a Denver Mint piece, in change at the mall in Walpole.  (added Oct 23)

Michigan:  Barbara Kaminski got her state's first reported Virginia P from Meijers in Michigan (added Oct 20)

Minnesota: Jason Kane was first in his state to report the VA-P quarter, found in change from McDonald's. (added Oct. 25)

Mississippi:  Mississippian Susan Crowdus got her state's first reported VA-P in change at the store in Sandhill, Miss. (added Nov. 13)

Missouri:  Brad Adams reports Missouri's first Virginia P, found in the coffee change jar at work. (added Nov. 14)

Montana:  Montana has finally reported in, with resident finder Deb Clark picking up a VA-D in change at Heritage Food Store in East Helena, Mont. (added Nov. 22)

Nebraska: Nebraska's first reported VA-D came from Patrick Deao's father's winery. (added Oct. 31)

Nevada:  Orland Hancock reports Nevada's first find, at a truck stop slot machine in Wells, Nev. (added Dec. 6)

New Hampshire: Paul Hopfgarten reports first from New Hampshire that he found a VA-P in change at Osco Drugs in Derry. (added Nov. 15)

New Jersey:  George Butrico was happily surprised to receive New Jersey's first reported VA-P in change from a toll collector at the George Washington Bridge. (added Nov. 3)

New Mexico:  Randy Lantz of New Mexico has a dog and Smith's Supermarket to thank for his VA-D find -- he got it in change after buying dog food and milk. (added Nov. 9)

New York: Erik Lander got New York's first reported Virginia quarter, Philadelphia Mint, in change from the bagel shop. (added Oct. 25)

North Carolina: North Carolina sent us four reports of Virginia P finds over the weekend, but Dale Pearce was the first, having bought his in rolls at the bank. (added Oct. 30)

North Dakota: Pete Teevens cashed a check at his bank and got North Dakota's first reported Virginia quarters, from the Denver Mint. (added Oct. 31)

Ohio:  Ollie Williams reports Ohio's first find of VA-Ps -- bought some rolls at his bank. (added Oct 23)

Oklahoma:  Change from Sam's Club in Oklahoma City landed Steve Cornelison his state's first reported VA-D. (added Nov. 8)

Oregon:  John Wharton's Virginia D came from the Pilot station in Ontario, Oregon, a first for his state. (added Nov. 6)

Pennsylvania:  James Scripko found Pennsylvania's first reported VA-P in change from a Post Office vending machine. (added Oct 23)

Rhode Island:  Erica Comer found Rhode Island's first reported VA-P in change at the bakery. (added Nov. 8)

South Carolina:  Steven Shipman of South Carolina got his state's first reported VA-P from a friend. (added Nov. 3)

South Dakota: Again at the bank, South Dakota's first reported VA-D quarters went to Mark Nelson. (added Nov. 8)

Tennessee: Anthony Warf found Tennessee's first reported VA-D in change from the supermarket. (added Nov. 8)

Texas:  Garage sale change was the source of Vivian Singleton's VA-D quarter in Texas. (added Nov. 1)

Utah: Debbie O'Guin went straight home from the bank and called Coin World Oct. 30 when she found Utah's first reported Virginia quarters, Denver Mint mark, at the Wells Fargo branch. (added Oct. 31)

Vermont:  Joe Bouffard got his state's first reported VA-P in change at the drugstore where he works. (added Nov. 6)

Virginia:  Anthony Ruggiero reports the first Virginia-P quarters found in circulation, passed on to him through his manager at work, from a customer, in McLean, Va. (added Oct 17)

Washington:  Marvin Rapakko got Washington's first reported VA-D in change at the Spot Tavern in Vancouver, Wash. (added Nov. 10)

West Virginia:  Jerald Carter of West Virginia got eight VA-P's in change from the bank. (added Nov. 8)

Wisconsin:  Dennis Borres got his Virginia P at the bank in Appleton, Wisconsin. (added Nov. 3)

Wyoming: Patty Seger of Wyoming purchased two rolls of her state's first reported VA-D quarters at Rock Springs National Bank. (added Oct. 26)
